Acupuncture
Methods
Acupuncture
Thin needles have been used for thousands of years in Chinese Medicine to cure or prevent illnesses. To get a complete picture of each patient, the acupuncturist asks detailed questions, takes the pulse and looks at the tongue. The treatment is specifically tailored to each patient’s needs and is carried out by placing fine needles to stimulate specific acupuncture points. This helps to regulate the vital energy Qi and activates the body’s selfhealing power – health and wellbeing are promoted in a natural way. Acupuncture is well known for its beneficial effects in the treatment of many diseases, but is also used in addition to western medicine or as a preventive method to promote health and vitality.
Cupping
Cupping involves the suction of cups onto the skin. This technique stimulates the blood flow and releases muscle tensions effectively.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a technique that uses heat to stimulate acupuncture points or wider areas of the body. To do so the therapist burns "moxa cigars". Moxibustion is effective for the treatment of cold or weakness and helps building up energy.
Ear Acupuncture
Ear acupuncture is a microsystem where the entire body is represented. The stimulation of the points treats the corresponding area of the body - we use acupuncture needles or permanent needles.
Diet
In addition to the acupuncture treatment, patients are given recommendations for a healty diet adapted to their needs.
